Amazon Mom Subscribe and Save

A good friend of ours who recently had twins gave me some wise advice, "stock up on diapers now because you are going to use a lot."  I saw a post on one of the websites for multiple births I frenquent detailing Amazon.com's program Amazon Mom.  The gist is;
  • 30% off select diapers and wipes when you use their “Subscribe & Save” option, which is basically an automatic recurring purchase plan. It’s pretty flexible though, you can choose your interval (every one, two, three, or six months) and you can cancel any time, even after just one shipment.
  • Free Amazon Prime for the first 3 months of your membership, which includes free 2-day shipping on lots of stuff. For each $25 you spend within a single order in the Baby store, you get an additional month. You can earn up to one year from the date you joined Amazon Mom. If you already pay for Prime, you can cancel and they’ll refund you the pro-rated cost.
  • They’ll send you “exclusive” discounts and offers via e-mail.
 We have already begun taking advantage of this program and saved a bundle.  The average baby I am told goes through 8-12 diapers a day.  Multiply that by 3 and you can see how expensive this can get.  We went ahead and subscribed to 3 orders of Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive Diapers, Size 1, 180-Count and 3 orders of  Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive Diapers, Size N, 30-Count (Pack of 4) 120-Count which should get us through a half month each!  The retail price of the 180 count box of the Pampers Swaddlers is $41.99 + tax at Target.  We paid only $28 a box and Amazon.com does not collect sales tax in Tennessee.  As you can see, it is huge savings and very convenient since it arrives at your doorstep each month.
